• Each year police departments respond to crimes where fingerprints and latent palm prints have been left behind by criminal suspects. FaegreBD Consulting has helped clients get direct funding for Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS) that decrease the time it takes officers investigate crimes and process crime scenes, and expedite the process of apprehending and prosecuting criminals.
• FaegreBD Consulting knows the importance of community safety. In fiscal year 2008, the firm helped a major east coast metropolitan area obtain an additional $446 000 for a prisoner re-entry project that has helped reduce crime, prepare ex-prisoners for work and provide them with services and strengthened economic viability and social networks, thereby benefiting the community as a whole.
